Movie Maker 2.1 was released back in 2004 and it’s still not a bad Video Editor, but it lacks modern video formats, but it can be fixed! I have found these on the Internet and have been confirmed working for me I even made a{Insert demo video] video showing that it works, first download the 720p and 1080p formats and put them into C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\Shared\Profiles, if the “Profiles” folder contains a Text Document called “BLANK”, delete it, If you don’t have the folder just create it.

And you’re able to save movies in HD quality. Also as a bonus you can enable 16:9 support on Movie Maker too if you want! Go to Tools and click Properties:

Click the Advanced tab and you will see this:

Select 16:9 as the default aspect ratio, the click OK. Now you can make High Quality videos with Movie Maker 2.1! 😀
